This picture was taken on the top of Chamonix in France. We took the ski lift to the top of the mountain hoping to capture some incredible mountain top vistas. We were enjoying the skiers and beautiful scenery and my wife saw this beautiful mountain goat coming up the insanely steep cliff. We named him Fred because we laughed that he was "A-Fred" of anything!Time
This shot was taken around 3:30 pm roughly 30 minutes before closing up for the day.Lighting
The lighting was nice because it was partly cloudy with a great back drop. The cloudy skies gave me pretty even lighting.Equipment
This was taken with my Canon 5D Mark IV with my Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L lens with 2x teleconverter.Inspiration
My whole life I have had a fascination with mountain goats and their incredible skill and poise on the steep mountain cliffs.Editing
I dropped the highlights and raised the shadows. I bumped clarity a bit and fixed the white balance and exposure. In my camera bag

This was a special moment as we came up the mountain to capture the beautiful landscaping when Fred came out to show off. One thing you must always be willing to do is switch gears in the middle of what you are doing to capture the unique things that are happening. Our thing that day was Fred and his friend visiting us! What a great day!
