An aerial view of farmland near Denver, Colorado.
It is incredibly interesting to see the landscape from above, it is also alarming to see how drastically mankind has altered it in order to feed itself.
This photo was taken in January when the fields are dormant, I 'm sure it is quite a different sight in the Spring when the fields are green.
The passenger jet in the background was also on final approach at a parallel runway, at Denver International Airport.
DIA is the largest airport in the US in total area, it is comprised of just over 33,500 acres.
All that acreage is built upon, paved or no longer can be farmed.
