I deliberately chose a nondescript rock in a forest full of similar subject matter because once one has caught the spectacular there is beauty in the ordinary. Like with people. In fact i approach nature in a democratic sort of way. This rock because of the way it is framed by trees and dead branches and by the curve of moss on the riven rock. A wet day, diffused light, glazed by rain. My local forest and part of my regular walk in Ruckle Park, Saltspring Island BC
