As far as my eyes could see

On our way to the top of Half Dome was nothing but ordinary. We began our hike early, but we weren’t aiming to catch the sunrise at the top. Once we were at the sub dome, the breathtaking Tenaya Canyon and beyond started coming into view. The sun was still hanging low enough to cast gorgeous orange hue on every surface it touched. From the nearest coniferous trees to the forest as far as my eyes could see. From the immediate granite domes to all the peaks miles and miles away. Mount Watkins with its top glowing was a very prominent focal point of the landscape seen from where I stood. The massive Clouds Rest stood tall, towering over the canyon, to our right. And behind it, Tenaya Peak rose. In the far far distance I recognized Mt. Hoffmann and Tuolumne Peak, which were creating an exquisite mountain skyscraper.
