I took this photo next to one of the many mountain highways in Iceland.Time
We woke up pretty early, probably around 4AM to attempt to catch some Aurora action before sunrise.Lighting
The morning blue hour along with the faint glow of Aurora helped me create a beautiful, mystical look.Equipment
For this photo I used my Nikon D750. It's my favourite camera due to its exceptional capabilities in low light. I used my tripod due to the long exposure required and I used my favourite lens, the Nikon 14-24mm.Inspiration

When I'm traveling I use a midsized Mindshift camera backpack. In it I have my Sirui tripod, Nikon D750, Nikon D800, Nikon 14-24mm, Nikon 70-300mm, neutral density filters, spare batteries and cards and lens cleaning tools.Feedback
Be ready to wake up very early! If you don't wake up early you will miss the beautiful and soft dawn light. Make sure you have a stable tripod and a way to trigger the shutter without touching your camera. This prevents any accidental blurring. Good luck!
