In the fullness of time, I hope to have a website for my photographs.
The work is coming along fine, but I needed to do a logo for the site. I was inspired by a picture I saw on line of an x-ray of a guy taking a picture, the idea being that I’d put my face on the left half and keep the x-ray skull, hands and camera on the right. So I wrote the photographer explaining what I wanted to do and asked him how much he wanted to use his image. Which I thought was pretty cool.
I got a curt reply saying that he didn’t feel my application was an appropriate use of his work.
OK, whatever.
So being me, I did a SP in the mirror… then searched on-line image banks for bits of x-ray anatomy, and put them all together to make this picture. It wasn’t easy cause especially the hands were not in the position I wanted so had to manipulate the fingers and other various bones and stuff to superimpose on the original SP. I was surprised I actually found an x-ray camera which came up pretty good after enhancing some of the technical bits, and I did some other adjustments to take into account what I was wearing…
All editing work done in Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop CC.

This one was actually a tough one. Getting those fingers in the required positions took a lot of time… think I was lucky to have found enough stock x-ray pictures to work with. Big thanks for commenting !!

Bill, this is STELLAR!!!!! I cannot imagine the amount of work you put into it but it paid off beautifully. You must and should be so proud!

Originally it didn't take all that long... but the tweaks I made to get it all anatomically correct took an eternity! Having said that, STELLAR!!!!! is an amazing compliment... so all that pain just vanished into thin air :-) Thanks so much for stopping by !

Okay, I went to hit Magnificent Capture but the button went to the cursed Peer Award. I think that award needs to be disabled!

Don't know how that happens Elizabeth, I've done it more times than I can count on all my fingers & toes. But ya know what? I'm gonna see yer face and it's gonna be a Magnificent Capture every time I look :-) Thanks for making my day!

You're right, though I didn't make much mention of it in my description, I kept going back to check different skeleton ribcage and arm/hand photos to make sure I got everything put together right... made so many changes from the original, but I think now finally I got it the way it's gonna stay. Cheers for the interest !!

Would have loved to have done this with a real machine... if you get lucky, shoot me her number? Thanx for the appreciation!
