Slumming it in Montreux, Switzerland during a 3-day ski weekend put on by my wife`s company at the time, this was the view out our hotel window only minutes before cocktails and aprés-ski :-)
Took 3 panned shots on a light weight tripod (very rarely travel without that puppy) and stitched them together manually in PS3.
Done on film: Fuji Reala, 100 ASA color negative. Negs scanned to digital with Canon FS 2710 negative scanner.

Seems like you took a lot of trouble to produce this image, but boy was it worth it! Another masterpiece, Billyboy. Great shot!

It's rare that I'm confronted with a scene as beautiful as this… but when it happens it needs to be preserved at the highest possible level at any cost. Would have been easier if I didn't have to scan the negs, but at the time it's what you did if you wanted to make a comp pano of multiple shots. Thanks so much for your appreciation and award :-)

Thanks Elyzabeth, we were on a skiing weekend and I discovered I couldn't ski… so at least I got SOMETHING out of it. And yeah, the romance was so thick you could cut it with a knife :-)

Of course! Ektar 100 was my standard before I discovered Reala. I switched mainly because of Reala's ability to handle different types of artificial lighting. I was also a big fan of Kodak high speed infrared… quirky stuff, you never knew quite what you were gonna get. Always an adventure working with that stuff. Don't know if I'd find anyone who could process it now days, even if I could get my hands on it. Cheers for the appreciation !
