A coho salmon fisherman in Northern Vancouver Island casts out into the estuary of the Cluxewe River. It is not just the misty atmosphere, but the lone figure, his almost invisible line looped above him in relation to the landscape, and the precision of the placement of this figure in relation to the whole that makes this image work for me. Grain adds to the effectiveness, unifies the mood.
