Behind The Lens

Location
Phuket, Thailand at a friend's driveway
Time
After-dark to maximise the outdoor long exposure
Lighting
camera on tripod, model lit by steel wool camera left, fill in strobe in octabox camera right
Equipment
Canon 5D MkIII, 24-105mm, tripod, trigger and receiver, strobe in octabox
Inspiration
It's not easy to access steel wool in Phuket. When I do get some, I try to make it to good use for long exposure ideas and concepts. It's also difficult to find a model brave enough to "soldier-on" during the set ups and the attempts to get it the way I had envisioned. Very pleased with the results that show a great team effort.
Editing
Tuned up the RAW in LR (exposure, sharpness, shadows...)
In my camera bag
Canon 5D MkIII, 24-105mm, 40mm, 50mm, 70-200m, tripod, trigger and receiver, strobe in octabox, ND filters
Feedback
