Location
I have a small bedroom space that I converted into a small studio space. It has very low ceilings and can be very trying sometimes to get the lighting right.Time
Ironically this was really late at night, you would think that it my be a bright sunny day or something. Nope, this was taken past midnight after makeup was complete and outfits were chosen.Lighting
This is two 7 foot parabolic umbrellas and a 5 foot octabox with a round reflector held below to bounce some light back up.Equipment
As always... I am rocking a Canon. This one was specifically taken with a 5D Mk III and the 24-105L f/4 lens.Inspiration
Learning from Joel Grimes last year during the Georgia (Photoworks) School, he shared with us how he does his high key setup. I took what I learned there and started playing and working to develop my own style and look to this.Editing
I adjust all my photos via Adobe Lightroom and then used a combination of Frequency separation and dodging and burning to lighten the skin up a little bit more.In my camera bag
I have the Canon 5D Mk III the 7D Mk II and a plethora of lenses. To include the 16-35, 70-200, 24 ts-e, 100 macro and so on and so forth.Feedback
Don't be afraid to adjust and try new things... you don't always have to listen to what the light meter says or what someone says something should look like. Make a creative decision and come up with new stuff. I also have taken Joel's advice and try to do as many self assignments and just get out and play so I still love what I do.
