Food and flowers seem to go together well. Here you see pink-purple tall asters. Sage is looking luminous below them in the centre. The leaves are great when toasted slightly and added to squash soup! Kale is to the right. This vegetable comes up for two years and then dies. There is a grape vine along the fence. Birds dodge through the leaves and consume the grapes before anyone else gets to eat them.
