/what a sobering, heartbreaking, yet, strangely encouraging, picture of true unity. Humans from diverse backgrounds putting aside any differences and working together for a common good, what a magnificent capture!

Location
I ran to the median of I-270 to take this photo(since the highway was shutdown) for the passing funeral motorcade for slain St. Louis County police officer Blake Snyder.Time
It was about 10am. The motorcade was on the way to the church for the funeral service.Lighting
No, this was obviously available light.Equipment
I used a Canon1Dx with a 400mm lens and a 1.4 telextender on a monopod.Inspiration
I was there by chance and didn't know the procession would be going by at that time. I was actually on my way to the cemetery to be there in advance of the graveside services.iEditing
I did a small amount of cropping. In my camera bag
A Canon 1Dx and a Canon 5d MarkIII with a 24-70 lens and a 70-200, both f2.8.Feedback
I wouldn't normally run onto the highway, or recommend it, but I knew it was shut down to honor the slain officer. Sometimes you have to make last second decisions if you want to get the better (different) picture.
