St. Louis firefighter Stan Baynes, from Rescue Squad 1C, keeps a doberman pinscher named Diablo above water while he is rescued from the lake in O'Fallon Park on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 12, 2014. Diablo had been in the water for about twenty minutes, after he fell through the ice while chasing geese. He was sinking below the surface when Baynes jumped into the water and saved him.
