Denali Highway lake

This small stream is a few miles east of Denali National Park on Denali Highway.

I was fortunate enough to capture a full moon setting over the Sawtooth Mountains as the sun was rising.

We were floating on the Chilkat River near Haines, Alaska when this one flew into the tree in front of us.

Inspiration

This facility puts on an outdoor flying show every fall when the birds are not migrating or mating. The show is well attended and enjoyable. After the show there is the opportunity to get close to the birds and meet the handlers. I was able to get several closeups. This one had a great expression on its face.

Editing

this one didn't need any post-processing.

I just had the camera for this trip.
