We were on a tour of Alaska and scheduled Terry Boyd with Denali Photo Guides to take us out and teach me more about my camera and how to use it. This small stream is a few miles east of Denali National Park on Denali Highway.Time
We were on tour for several hours in the morning.Lighting
While this was taken in the mid morning, the sky was hazy from fires in the area, but the stream is shaded so that was not much of an influence.Equipment
A the time I was shooting a Fujifilm Finepix S1. It was mounted on a tripod provided by Terry with a ND 8 filter to force the time exposure.Inspiration
This was provided by Terry.Editing
no post processing was necessary for this one. I have dabbled with some post processing, but have failed to improve on the original. In my camera bag
I have now upgraded to a Nikon D7500 with two lenses, 18-55 and 70-300. I have a variety of filters including ND filters as well as polarizing.Feedback
Look for fast moving water that can be captured with a time exposure, the more foam the better.
