Just a great capture of the horse and rider trying to hold up the barrel.

Behind The Lens
Location
Ranger, North CarolinaTime
Late afternoon.Lighting
The sun was coming in at about a 45 degree angle.Equipment
I used the Nikkor 70-300 mm lens on my Nikon D7100 DSLRInspiration
My wife an I read that there would be a barrel racing event with local competitors in Ranger, North Carolina, about 10 miles West of Murphy, NC.Editing
I used Photoshop CS6 to make minor adjustments to the image, cropping and sharpening. No other adjustments were made.In my camera bag
I normally carry a 50 mm Nikkor macro lens, a 18-140 mm Nikkor zoom lens, an extra battery, and a polarizing filter in my bag.Feedback
I used manual settings on my camera, in this case 1000 sec exposure at f 8. I also set my camera to auto ISO at a 100 to 1600 range.. This shot was hand-held so I used the VR setting on my lens. I tried to make several rapid-fire shutter bursts as the riders rounded the barrels.
