Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Domer Park in Eau Claire Wi on the edge of the Chippewa River.

Time

I went out just before sunrise to capture the sun against the river but it was a bit cloudy which reflected beautifully against the calm river.

Lighting

All natural lighting made this photo perfect

Equipment

This was taken with my nikon D5300, I had taken several at once and this shot was the best.

Inspiration

The colors were just too much to not want to capture, when everything reflected against the river that morning it was just stunning. The colors were so perfect that I was actually worried my camera wasn't going to be able to capture the same colors I was seeing.

Editing

The only way I could capture what I was seeing with my eye was to enhance the color a bit in editing otherwise the picture was too dull.

In my camera bag

I bought my nikon camera because I wanted the higher pixels and have just kept using the same camera, I hope to get a drone soon.

Feedback

If you want the best lighting for your photos, get up early. I find that the time just before you actually see the sun but it's light is starting to shine is the best and softest natural light and makes everything just perfect.
