It is said that the true test of character is when we are left to face adversity all alone. This is one of my favourite trees in Auckland and for me it epitomises that struggle. I've been shooting this for years and every time I head there I expect to find that it has lost it's battle against staunch odds. It's still there and it's still clinging on. Whoever thought a tree could be inspiring?
