This photo was taken outside in afternoon sunlight. The shadow of a rectangular vase ( off-camera) is nicely distorted due to the curved background on which it falls.

Only a slight tweak in color balance (to remove some of the blue cast in the shadows), and a bump in contrast was used in photo editing software.
