Location
The photo was taken in South Africa, in the world famous Kruger National Park. At a place where it was aloud to go out on your own.Time
The photo was taken at the end of a rainy summer afternoon.Lighting
Normally in summer, at this time the light can be so harsh, but now with the clouds and drizzle, the light was awsome to work with.Equipment
I used a Canon camera, a 100-400 mm lense and a beanbag, because I positioned myself on the ground.Inspiration
The mother of this young vervet was abused by people with a slingshot. She was in a not so good state and this young monkey was pretty upset. I wanted to show other people what the effect of their acts can be. This little one really touched my heart.Editing
I converted the photo from RAW to JPEG and that was all.In my camera bag
Normally when I go out working in South Africa I carry two bodies and two lenses (100-400 mm and 70-200 mm), some cleaning equipement (dust), batteries, memorycards, remote control.Feedback
Respect the animals you want to capture. Don't come in their "circle", rather use a longer lense. And be patient. And....... rainy days are awsome to work!!! Don't mind the mud, go flat and use the eye-to-eye perspective whenever possible and safe!
