The photo was taken in Natural Bridges National monument park Utah.Time
funny you asked. I remember I just pull into the park and got my camp setup it was in late afternoon around 5:30 pm . I ask a couple younger guys if the knew which one was the easiest to climb down to see .they told me the first one . Getting there I noticed how hot several people was from the climb back out . So I decided to leave the tripod in the car . climb the trail down thinking this is the easiest one what are the others going to be like . I got this shot doing an HDR free handed. When I got back to camp one of the guys came to me an apologize to me for sending to the worst one of the four ... I had a good laugh about it .Lighting
In Utah it is very bright in the day a lot of light color to bounce the light around.its a lot different ,then Iowa.Equipment
the camera I used was a canon EOS 7D. lens EF-S 18-55 with a promaster spectrum7 circular polarized filter.Inspiration
Before I retired I have always wanted to take a road trip in the western states. the year of 2015. I loaded the car with my camping gear and a atlas map, and hit the road . Started out in south Dakota. the badlands, then off to the devils tower,and yellowstone in Wyoming. I then when to the craters of the moon national park . After that is when I head for Utah. yes . I merged the three raw files in lightroom 6. then just correct the white ,and black. adjust the white balances .,and tone done a bright area.In my camera bag

I now wish that i would have when back for a sunrise . i was looking east toward the arch., and I also take the tripod with me everywhere. i know the weight is a fact when going to places like that ,but that time I got lucky they line-up . that may not always happen .
