I took this photo from Main Beach, Gold Coast. I had just gotten a secondhand 70-200mm lens with a Teleconverter and wanted to test it out.Time
This was taken at sunrise in winter. I was worried it was going to be really cold so I definitely overdid it with the warm clothes.Lighting
It was actually a bit of an average morning. I was hoping for some high clouds to get some interest in the sky. In the end I really liked the soft pink glow in the clear sky.Equipment
Nikon D750 Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 2x teleconverter Vanguard tripodInspiration
I live really close to the beach and rarely took advantage of it. So once I got the new lens I thought there was no better excuse.Editing
I did the usual tweaks, vibrancy, contrast, exposure, etc. At the time there was some construction happening next to the big group of trees so I used the clone brush to cover it up.In my camera bag

Just find the motivation to get up and go. You’re not going to get the shot laying in bed (which I am still guilty of)
