I'm going to be honest with you: I'm not a cat person. One, I'm allergic, and two, being a Vet Tech for the last 10 years has brought me in contact with the horrifying, demon-esque side of the kittehs! All that aside, when we moved into our new home, some feral cats came with it. The first two have since moved on to more copious grazing pastures (our elderly neighbor's home), but Three (since she was the third to arrive) has stayed. She's terrified of everything, but she finds comfort on our deck and in our yard...she must have known I'm a sucker for any animal. Over the weeks she's been warming up to me, and sometimes, she'll even come on the porch to eat if I'm on it. The other day we had the sprinkler running, and I looked out the back window to see if it was still going, only to discover Three waiting for me to turn it off so she could come eat. The light in our yard after 5pm is nothing short of magical, so of course I ran to get my camera before the sun set any further. I'm glad she didn't budge from the spot!
