Van Gogh's resting place in Auvers sur Oise.
Vincent was very dependent on funding from his brother as he was never really successful until after his untimely death. Theodore died shortly after Vincent and Vincent's grave was moved and they were buried together. I was struck by the simple headstone and basically unadorned grave for a man with such impact after death. Auvers sur Oise celebrates him at every turn from pictures and signs in strategic places to show where he painted his subjects to a modern sculpture of him in a simple park.
D810 with 24-120 f-4G ED VR lens at 62mm, f-7.1, 1-160 hand held, Auto ISO 72, Manual Mode. Processed in Capture NX-D and PSCS6 Extended using Picture Postcard Workflow.
