Location
Eastern State Penn prison in Philadelphia. It's a very old - maybe the oldest - prison in the U.S. and they run photo tours sometimes. We had the run of the place after hours. It was awesome!Time
Well, this was taken inside so time of day didn't come into account much. But it was in the evening.Lighting
The lighting was practically non-existent! I had to shoot a high ISO because of that. And post-processing was absolutely necessary in this case.Equipment
Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark III No tripod, no flash. Hand-held, high ISO (800) and fast shutter (1/60).Inspiration
I was just trying to find a shot that wasn't being done by all the other photographers!Editing
Yes, I did. Because of the high ISO I needed to run some filters in PhotoShop. Nothing too fancy as my PhotoShop kung fu is not that strong! In my camera bag
35mm, 50mm and a 70-200 zoom. A couple macro filters since I don't have a dedicated macro lens.Feedback
This, honestly, was a lucky shot. The fact that she was wearing black and coming out of a black hole (a cell) gave the weird look of her appearing to be half a girl - can't see the legs, just lucky!
