Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in Tuolumne California, when the Rim Fire was raging out of control just one mountain ridge away. I was invited by a neighbor to go on top of the hill to see the planes drop the fire retardant. I am a self taught photographer. So I'm sure I still have a lot to learn.

Time

This was taken in August 23,2013 at 2:30 in the afternoon.

Lighting

I didn't have to use flash as it wasn't needed.

Equipment

I use a Nikon D80.

Inspiration

Not every day do I get an opportunity to be this close to action like this. Got several shots that are pretty amazing at least to me.

Editing

No what you see is what I shot.

In my camera bag

I don't usually carry my camera bag. As I have one lens I use most of the time and it's my Nikkor 17-55 mm.
