It was in the afternoon on a clouding day.Lighting
No lighting - no flashEquipment
I afraid it is nothing fancy. To me, it is in the eye not the camera. Nikon Coolpix P100, timer 1/496 sec, shutter 7.1, ISO 160, lens 7.3 mm. The vignette effect was done using my hand holding the edge of the telescopic lens. It made a shadowy effect on the edges of the picture.Inspiration
There were many really fancy high end boats parked there. But this odd one with the red sails was so unique. I squatted down so that the flowers would show in the frame giving the picture a touch of red in a sea of white boats. Usually the sky is bright blue, but that day was cloudy and made the red sails pop out,.Editing

My advice is to capture life as you see it. I try to capture things that are different or odd, yet they are things you walk by everyday. I just point them out with my pictures.
