Location
I captured this image while walking the Turkey Creek Nature Trail, in Niceville, FL. I is an elevated wooden walkway and I leaned over the rail to take the shot.Time
It was near noon on 14 May 2016 when I took the photo.Lighting
The water lily was in the shade of the walkway railing so the harsh direct sunlight was not directly on the petals. This allowed for a softer light but it was slightly over exposed. There was still quite a bit of detail though and I felt that I would bring down the exposure in post.Equipment
Nikon D810 with a NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED, AF-S.Inspiration
I was just looking for interesting compositions when I saw this water lily.Editing
I cropped the image and had to lower the exposure about a stop and a half as well as slightly adjust the contrast. In my camera bag
At the time I took this image I had a Nikon D810, with a AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f/4G ED VR, AF-S VR and the NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED, AF-S VR.Feedback
