Location
I've took this picture during spring in southern Germany. After getting something to eat, I thought the sky might turn out pretty well for sunset that evening and stopped by the nearest lake.Time
I took the picture during sunset, this was one of probably 100 shots I got that evening, as the colours of the sky changed so quickly.Lighting
I got tons of pictures that evening from this spot, as the colours changed so fast, I was literally non-stop pressing the trigger for sevarel minutes.Equipment
Besides my Bilora Tripod I used a Canon EOS 6D with the Canon L 24-205 mm lens and a polarisation filterInspiration
I didn't really plan this one, I was just getting something to eat and noticed the sky turning more and more colorful. So I drove to this spot and started taking pictures - just got really lucky I guess :-)Editing
As the sky was very bright, I had to combine 2 exposures together, one for the darker areas and one for the lights. I edited both shots in Lightroom and combind them in Photoshop with the help of a layer mask. Also I added a bit of glow using the Nik Collection software. In my camera bag
Besides my Canon EOS 6D, I got a Canon L 24-105 mm, Tokina 11-16 mm, Sigma 70-300 mm Lens in my bag. Then I carry different filter - 1 Polarizer, different ND-Filter (from weak to strong), a few batteries, a remote, and a brush to clean my lenses (plus a mobile ashtry :-) )Feedback
Best advice I can give: Check the histogram (!!!!) if it's under-/ overexposed take multiple pictures and combine them in Photoshop!
