I've seen a place like this in Germany, in the Alpsee lake, you can find the photo in my gallery.

Location
This picture was taken at the Königssee, in Bavaria, southern Germany.Time
It was in the early evening, somewhere around 5PM, as the only way back to our car was by boat at the latest departure was around 6PM sadly.Lighting
I don't think the lightning is perfect here. Normally I would have stayed until sunset, but there was no way we could do that, because we had to get back to our car by boat, also we had a 5 hour drive back home that day.Equipment
I used a Canon EOS 6D with the Tokina 11-16 mm with a polarisation filter on top, also I used a Bilora Tripod.Inspiration
I found tons of pictures of this place on the internet, after a quick research I found out this place was actually in my reach so I decided to go there on a weekend trip. I love how there's a little cabin in the mittle of a lake in the mittle of those huge mountains.Editing
I did a lot of post processing, mainly I created an HDR image to not over expose the sky or underexpose stuff in the foreground. In my camera bag
I'm alway traveling with my Canon EOS 6D, the Tokina 11-16 mm, Canon 24-205 mm L, Sigma 70-300 mm, different ND- and Polarisation-Filters and also my beloved Bilora Tripod.Feedback
Get there in the evening, take several different shots (also different perspectives), use a polarisation filter to make the water clearer and CHECK the histogram!! :-)
