I awoke to a foggy day which is always great for getting some great shots so I took off with my camera. It was a Saturday so I wasn't working & had all day to shoot.Equipment
This was shot with my Canon T3i, 24-105mm f/4 IS USM, 1/60 at f4, no flash.Inspiration
As I stated before it was a foggy day and I enter the Iowa State fair photography solon each year. This years theme is fog, so I have been striving to get good fog photos.Editing
I first did some minor cropping and adjustments in Lightroom, then took it into NIK color Efex pro where I used a number of adjustments including detail extractor and glamor glow.In my camera bag
I always have my tripod with me when I'm shooting and mainly use my 24-105mm f/4 IS USM but also carry an 18-55mm, 50mm f1.8, 70-300mm and an extension tube for some really close up work. I also have a few filters including a 10 stop Hoya, plus a cable remote.Feedback
Look around you always. Numerous times I've been shooting a subject only to turn around to find an even better shot behind me or in a different direction. Shoot in all conditions, you never know what you'll find.
