I spent 2 years on a TDY (Temporary Duty) at Tonopah Air Base, Nevada (aka Area 51) documenting one of the largest, multi-service, warfare trials exercise to date. What most people do not realize is that there are herds of wild mustangs that roam areas of Nevada, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and Northeastern California. The general in charge of the exercise was concerned about the safety of these herds that are on the Tonopah Ranges.

One of my duties while traveling and documenting the daily exercises was to document all of these herds as I came across them. This is the only scene I still have from those shoots.
