Behind The Lens

Location
In the studio
Time
10:30pm
Lighting
Primary lighting was an overhead softbox, and reflectors. The reflection off the boys arms created the catch lights in both subjects eyes.
Equipment
Nikon D2X, and Nikkor 50mm f1.4 AFD
Inspiration
A mother's love.
Editing
Grayscaled by desaturation, and some spot USM plus a re-crop.
In my camera bag
Lots of Nikkor lenses (can be used on both Nikon and Canon camera bodies), AF lenses by both manufacturers, filters, tubes, and other adapters.
Feedback
Try and get multiple subjects to interact with each other, and shoot lots of images. The magic needs only happen in one or two frames.
