This Witness Tree sits atop Devils Den in Gettysburg National Military Park as sort of a sentry. This tree witnessed The Civil War on July 1, 2 & 3, 1863 and survived mini balls, shrapnel, and watched as men lay dead and dying at it's roots. There are many Witness Trees on the battlefield, but this is the most impressive. You can feel the energy coming off of it when you touch its trunk as if it holds the secrets within, and many apparitions have been caught on film hanging around this area.
