Did you lay on the floor to take that photo? I love the color that spreads out from behind the stain glass. Those aren't windows are they?

I was totally laying on the floor with all three of my kids. I told them if we hear the door open to jump up....which did happen after about 5 minutes...it was fun and an awesome time together enjoying this great work of art!

Location
The Chapel of Thanksgiving Square is a small chapel in a public park in downtown Dallas.Time
This was taken around noon on a bright sunny day.Lighting
In order to have the best possible lighting, this was taken during a sunny day around noon which allows the sun to enter the spiral ceiling chapel at the best angle possible.Equipment
Canon 5d Mark III, Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 L USM III, Built-in Shutter ReleaseInspiration
I was inspired to take this picture because of the amazing architectural design which includes a unique spiral ceiling with incredible stained glass skylights.Editing
I boosted the exposure lightly on the glass and draped the highlights and shadows. It was relatively light editing. In my camera bag
Canon 5D Mark III; Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 L; Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L; Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L; Sigma 50mm f/1.4; Canon 2x Extender III; Canon 24-105mm f/4 L; Canon 100mm f/2.8 LFeedback
So for this particular photo, the chapel is small and the doesn't have much space. We went in a time where we could move the chairs in the room. My kiddos and I laid down on the ground and setup the automatic timer to get the best high quality capture. We had a game plan to make sure if we heard the door open that we would all jump up so we wouldn't offend anyone by laying in the floor. The laying down allowed me to get the full spiral in the shot. Glad we shot this and had fun doing it.
