Location
I took this picture at the Cincinnati Zoo in Cincinnati Ohio. The peacocks walk freely around the zoo.Time
It was in the afternoon I would say a little before noon. I am a volunteer educator at the zoo and he was by the Cafe showing off.Lighting
It was natural lighting. Of course the sun was directly overheard so it actually worked for me instead of against me. lolEquipment
I used a Nikon D3200 at the time of this picture. I since have a new Nikon. I didn't use a flash. The lens I have is an 18-300 Nikon lens. I had a UV filter on it.Inspiration
I love animals and a peacocks beauty is unparalleled. The picture speaks for itself. He is just absolutely stunning and he was really strutting his stuff not really sure for who. lol We don't have any female peacocks at the zoo. lolEditing
I really didn't need much processing on this picture which I can't say that very often but I think I only had to crop it a little. I use a basic editing program that I have on my Mac.In my camera bag
I have a Nikon D500 now. I carry a couple lenses 18-300 and a 50mm. I will say that I am still learning about using a flash more often. I use natural light a lot. Of course I always have spare batteries and have a case for memory cards. Trust me you don't want to not have one available. lolFeedback
Patience. I shoot a lot of animals as you can see in my profile because they are natural posers. I am slowly getting out of my comfort zone. ok sorry got off track. Get down low you can see a lot of different things in the world. Have fun and play around with different angles.
