great dof! I am trying really hard to grasp the concept of her emotion though... it is just feels misplaced rolling on the floor....

Location
This photo was taken during a home photo shoot in Jennifer's flat.Time
It was on a rainy Sunday, around 11.30 a.m.Lighting
I just used natural light, window lighting, for the whole session. Sometimes a silver surfaced bouncer to fill shadows or get a catchlight in her eyes.Equipment
It was taken with a D810 and the AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8g. I love this lens specially for Boudoir Photo shoots: a really nighty fifty.Inspiration
Next to Portraits, Boudoir specially on location photo shoots are my personally favorite genre. The challenge to work only to with window lighting inspires me every in every session.Editing
This photo is slightly underexposed (about 1 stop) to get a darker look. I've started in Lightroom with some basic corrections like brighten deep shadows and HSL corrections for skin color and luminosity. In Photoshop I've done some basic retouching steps like D&B. Finally I used luminosity masking for a color grading on the shadows and highlights. In my camera bag
Two Camera Bodies (a D700 and a D810), my favorite 85mm lens, a 50mm and a 35mm. CF-Cards, a Laptop, a Rocket Blower (always a good idea) and a silver surfaced bouncer.Feedback
Looking out for light and ask your model to move right there. Don't be afraid to aks your model to correct their position until your satisfied with the result. Trust in the tonal range of your camera and in the ”mighty power” of underexposure.
