This photo is taken in the garden where the spiders did their best to make some beautifull webbings.Time
I think it was in the middle of the day, but because there was not much light,I used a ledlight.Lighting
The lightning is mainly produced by a ledlight, a small rectangular one with a lot of small round lights inside as you can see in the picture. They are very handy for photography. The light is put under the spiders webbing.Equipment
For this photo I used my Nikon D5000 and my Nikkor 60mm macro lens. I did not use a tripod, because there was so little space to stand in , in order to make the picture :)Inspiration
Spiderwebs inspire me, also water and reflections in droplets are things I return to. The beauty of nature, in such small things like a web and some raindrops can be breathtaking. Also the reflections you get from light sources like ledlight, are almost art like.Editing
Yes I use Paintshop Pro X8 for the sharpness, some vivid and highlights.Today I have Affinity photo. In my camera bag
In 2015 I still had my Nikon D5000, today I got it replaced by a Nikon D800. I still use my Nikkor 60mm lens, I took many macro pictures with this one and the quality of the lens is very good. In 2020 I still use my D800 and macro lens.Feedback
The best part of the year to capture the spider webbings are in the Autumn offcourse, but the bad part most of the times is the lightning. In the Autumn the weather is more rainy, wich is a good thing for the droplets but a bad thing for your lightning. It depends on wich land or country you live in offcourse. So always travel with a ledlight, a flaslight or something similair. Beware tho that the ledlights most of the time give a rather blue colour to the picture, in my case I liked it very much. You can also take some coloured plastic, like the ones that are around candy's or chocolates. You can wrap it around a flaslight to get a diffuse coloured light. And keep trying, spider webs move a lot because of the wind , they are very little in weight. Make a whole series from all angles and with different lights. Have fun !!
