Location
A first time trip to Mission San Juan Capistrano brought us to a lovely lily pond.Time
We stopped midday on one of many trips down and back from Los Angeles to San Diego. Once we found this lily pond, it was probably around 3 pm.Lighting

As per my usual, just my Canon 5D Mark II and my standard lens.Inspiration
It is not every day that I get the chance to see a beautiful, calm, lily pond. I was taking pictures throughout the mission, because there were so many lovely things to see and experience.Editing
Slight color adjustments.In my camera bag
The bag has an extra battery, lens, flash and various things. Most of them never see the light of day. Many of my photo excursions are for the sake of vacation and fun, and not so seriously about the photographic process.Feedback
Don't forget while wide shots tell a nice story, zoomed in shots give you something else. They can give you drama that is otherwise lost in the shuffle. Did you already zoom in some? What happens if you zoom in more?
