Jr Bear

This funny juvenile bear was on the loop trail when we came around the corner. (After seeing Papa's bears huge wet paw prints on the far side, and watching Mama sunning herself in the glade in the middle of the loop.) Jr made all these undignified noises and scampered up into a tree, though since the trail is raised several feet above the surrounding forest, he may have been 10 or so feet up the tree but only a couple of feet higher than we were. Mama came around wondering what all the Kerfuffle was about and... (and I am not kidding)... seriously rolled he eyes at her son like she had no concern at all. After all, this loop is highly visited by people and these bears live there so they are used to humans. She walked back away, just far enough that Jr could still see her, but far enough away to not be really giving any support to her offspring. It was pretty hilarious.
