Behind The Lens

Location

This photograph was taken during a Cockade City Camera Club photo outing to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, in Richmond, Virginia.

Time

Photograph was taken at 12:15 pm.

Lighting

The photograph was taken with the museums ambient light.

Equipment

This was taken with a Nikon D810 DSLR paired with a Nikkor 18-300 3.5-5.6 DX lens.

Inspiration

I do a lot of photography of Buddhist temples in Asia. This wooden image caught my eye while walking through the various exhibits.

Editing

Post processing was minimal to crop the image and add a watermark.

In my camera bag

I normally carry a pair of Nikon DSLR cameras (D810 and D850) paired with an appropriate Nikon lens for the anticipated days photography. I also carry a speedflash, light reflector, and several spare batteries and SD cards.

Feedback

Museums present many opportunities to capture images of various items. Be aware of your surroundings.
