Behind The Lens

Location
Photo was taken at Beihai Park, in Beijing, China
Time
The photo of this colorful duck was taken in the late afternoon, near 5 pm.
Lighting
It was a cold, gray overcast, mid-December day, after a morning snowstorm.
Equipment
Photo was taken with a Nikon D7000 DSLR paired with a Nikkor 18-300mm lens.
Inspiration
These ducks were stunningly beautiful with their multiple colors. There must have been close to thirty of these ducks on the semi-frozen lake.
Editing
The only post processing was cropping to it's present size and a little enhancement on the vibrance in Adobe Light Room.
In my camera bag
Traveling to many locations in a short period of time I try to travel light. I normally travel with two DSLR cameras, a Nikon D7000 and a Nikon D810. I normally have a Nikkor 18-300mm, or Nikkor 28-300mm lens on one camera and a Sigma 10-20mm lens on the other. This allows me to photograph most situations I will encounter.
Feedback
Photography is a combination of skill, proper preparation, knowledge of your camera equipment and the luck of being in the right place, at the right time, with the proper lighting!
