Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at a local pond in Ulster County, New York.

Time

It was approximately 9:30pm

Lighting

The location was extremely dark with no artificial light or moon light.

Equipment

Canon EOS 7D and a standard 200 mm lens.

Inspiration

I had seen many similar photos on Viewbug and wanted to try and achieve a similar effect. This was my first attempt.

Editing

This shot was straight out of the camera with no editing.

In my camera bag

A collection of lenses up to 600mm. Canon 5D and 7D cameras.

Feedback

Take the shot in as low light settings as possible. Stay away from dry areas that may catch fire and be careful not to burn yourself. Play with different shutter speeds from 1 to 8 seconds.
