Behind The Lens

Location

In the garden of a house in a little village of Spain. It was almost Spring, there were flowers and suddenly a huge storm of snow covered everything.

Time

The picture was taken during the morning, at 11 or 12 am, but the light was not strong as the sky was covered with thick clouds.

Lighting

It is all natural light. The sky was covered so It gave good conditions of smooth light. It was snowing.

Equipment

I used a Canon 60 D with the kit lens 18-135 mm f 3.5-5.6

Inspiration

The atmosphere was special with a garden covered in snow but still with flowers and a beautiful dress that evoqued a magical and calm moment.

Editing

I only had to lower a bit the highlights of the sky

In my camera bag

I used to have my canon 60 D with the 18-135 mm lens. Now I have my new canon 6 D with a 50 mm f1.8, the 100 mm f2.8 L canon macro lens wich I love, a 70-300 mm canon lens and a tokina 11-16 mm that I used to use with canon 60 D.

Feedback

Create magical atmospheres with pretty clothes that match the scene and special moments like snow, fall color, the golden plants in august, etc. If done during sunset or sunrise the light will add that magical touch, but even in other times of day you can get good portraits if the light is not harsh.
