This photo was taken during the bride and groom photos at Southwood Hall in Norfolk UK.Time
After the ceremony is over and the group photos have been taken I like to take the bride and groom off for 20/30 minutes to get some more intimate pictures of just them, also they get some photos that no one else has seen.Lighting
The light was perfect, it was a very sunny day but the angle of the sun had changed and gave it’s light to enable some beautiful pictures to be taken of this lovely young couple on their perfect day.Equipment
This was taken using a Canon EOS 7D (F/9 35mm) with a Canon Ultrasonic Lens 28-135mm no other equipment was used.Inspiration
It was just at an opportune moment when the bride and groom had shared a private conversation and they both laughed together at whatever they had been saying to each other.Editing
I always take my photos into photoshop/photoshop elements or lightroom to make sure that clarity is as best as it could be and the colour really pops.In my camera bag
Right, in my camera bag, I have a spare 28mm-135mm lens. I now use a Canon 5d mkiv so my Canon 5d is now my spare camera. I also carry a Canon 7d which I sometimes use with a second shooter. I generally have a macro lens and a telescopic lens also. Various cables both for all cameras and laptop, spare batteries plus a charger and spare sets of sd cards etc. Soft cloths to protect the equipment and clean the lens if needed. Tripod and monopod are also carried. I also have spare lens caps in case I loose one, also umbrellas in case of rain. In other words I carry the kitchen sink in the camera world!Feedback
A wedding photographer has to be on the look out for that special photo, making sure you capture the gentle, somber, candid and loving moments that makes a wedding day so special. It’s a matter of being in the right place at the right time, all the time!!
