This photo was taken on our maiden voyage of our newly acquired boat 'Bella Vita'. Being very excited about taking her out I actually forgot to bring my 'good camera'. Minutes into the ride we were in Mott's Channel coming up onto the Intra-Coastal Waterway where we were going to head north. This view was actually more southward. So as my husband is turning northward, I am trying to grab my iPhone and maneuver around the boat while it is moving.Time

I would love to say that there was something special I did to help make the photo better, however, nope. I am a self taught hobby photographer trying to break out into the professional sphere. It was all mother nature and just being in the right place at the right time. Hence I came up with the name "Well Done Sky".Equipment
This photo was taken with an iPhone 6.. with no apps, no tripod, no flash... while trying balance my self on a moving boat in the middle of my husband turning the opposite direction. Thank goodness it was a 'No Wake Zone'!Inspiration
I love to look for inspiration everywhere. Whether it is a tiny flower or bug or a gorgeous sunset. I have been struggling with health issues for the last 3-4 years so it has been very difficult for me to get 'out and about' and just be in the moment. This photo has reminded me that no matter what one is going through, whether it is physical or emotional pain or both, how much beauty is all around us. We just need to take a moment to break through all of that and enjoy being in the moment.Editing
I sure wish I knew all of those processing programs. OK, I wish I knew even one. Maybe one day I will!In my camera bag
With 4 children, 5 grandchildren with the 6th one on the way AND some relatively serious health issues, money seems to find its way to other more important situations than new camera equipment. I have only a couple 'kit' cameras and lens. I still love my Canon Rebel 35mm camera and enjoy using it on special occasions. However my 'go to' camera is a Canon xti2 kit with a back up of an Olympus waterproof camera that makes it easy to capture all of those family beach adventures without worrying if my Canon is going to get wet. And now, my iPhone is a great option in a pinch! :)Feedback
As a self taught amateur, I really don't feel I am qualified to give any advice on how to take photos. All I can say is the most important thing to bring with you at all times is the ability to stop for a few minutes and really allow yourself to enjoy and emerge yourself in a moment.
