This was actually my second visit to the grand Gyeongbokgung Palace - we loved it so much and had some free time that we returned to explore more of the grounds (which are massive), and I'm so glad I did, because this pond of lily pads was truly beautiful. Hard to believe on the other side of the walls of the palace there are 11 million some odd residents bustling around Seoul. The palace is so quiet and beautiful!
