Location
I took this photo at an area called mill pond in Vittoria, Ontario, Canada last fall.Time
I was just about ready to go home about four o'clock in the afternoon and these plants caught my eye so I climbed up the bank and shot through them to capture the setting sun.Lighting
Nothing special about the lighting except the way the light back lit the plants and the fact that it was late in the afternoon to give it some color.Equipment
Shot on a Nikon D3200 using an 18mm to 300mm lens. handheldInspiration
Just one of those moments when you happen to be in the right place at the right time. I was actually taking pictures of a small stream and happened to look up and see the light shining through the plants and knew I had to photograph it.Editing
My standard work flow is to do exposure corrections in lightroom and then finish small details using photoshop. In my camera bag
I try to keep my equipment at a minimum. My Nikon D3200, one 18mm to 300mm lens,an ND1000 filter and one flash unit and a tripod pretty much lets me do whatever I want without carrying a lot of weight,Feedback
Try to get out and take pictures as often as you can and don't just wait for the perfect light and weather. Bracket your exposures so you have a little choice when you get home and start to process them. One of my better photos came from an underexposed photo that really came alive when I opened up the shadows in Lightroom
