Behind The Lens

Location

It's the commercial wharf in Port Dover Ontario, Canada

Time

I believe it was early afternoon. I was in Port Dover working on a boat and just had to shoot this scene when I saw it.

Lighting

The sky was so dramatic that I felt it deserved to be done in black and white.

Equipment

My old Nikon D3200 with a Nikon 18mm to 300mm lens

Inspiration

Really I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. No matter where I am I always look for photos.

Editing

I process in Lightroom and Photoshop to bring out the drama of black and white.

In my camera bag

Nikon D600 with either a 18mm to 300mm lens or a Nikon 85mm for portraits, A speed light and ND filters.

Feedback

Always be on the lookout for photos as you go through your day. Always shoot in Raw and learn to master Lightroom and Photoshop. I couldn't produce the photos that I do without both of them.
