Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on one of my daughter's packing boxes in her room by the window.

Time

I believe it was early afternoon, Robin the cat decided it was time to enjoy the sun coming in through the window. No tripod used - it was handheld.

Lighting

I enjoy taking natural light photos and this is a perfect example of one. This was early afternoon and the light was perfect coming through the window. No flash needed, only the afternoon sun.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D7100, 18-200mm, and not flash.

Inspiration

I enjoy taking photos of my cat and she can be so photogenic at times. I was moving boxes around in my daughter's bedroom and of course, she wanted to help, so she climbed up on a box next to the window and promptly laid down. I grabbed my camera, called her name and this is what I got. A picture of cuteness.

Editing

The only editing I did for this photograph was a little adjusting to the exposure, the color saturation came out just right.

In my camera bag

Currently, I have my Nikon D7100 with the 18-200mm. The last time I used my camera was for a photoshoot of greyhound dogs outside for a friend. I only packed what I needed.

Feedback

The only advice I could give is to enjoy what you're shooting.
